Privacy policy

We hold your passport number, your family's financial position and your grades. This page says what we do with all of it, in words you should not need a lawyer to read.

What we collect

Everything on this list comes from you, from a document you gave us, or from something we did on your behalf. We do not buy data about you and we do not track you across other websites.

Why we hold it

Because an institution or a government will ask for it, or because we cannot advise you without it. That is the whole test. If a field fails it, we should not be asking for it, and you should tell us if you think we are.

Your funding and your visa history are the two things that most often decide where you can go. We ask about them early precisely so we can tell you the truth early, rather than after you have spent money.

Who sees it

Inside Enrola, access is set by role, not by seniority. Your adviser and your assessor see your whole file because they cannot work without it. Finance sees payments and, unless we have a reason otherwise, case references rather than names. Nobody else has a reason to look, and the system does not let them.

Where it lives

On servers in Singapore, operated by Enrola Pte Ltd. When we send documents to an institution abroad we are sending them to that country, which is the point of the exercise, and we tell you which institutions before we send anything.

How long we keep it

Three years after your last activity with us, then we delete it. Payment records are kept seven years because Singapore tax law requires it, and those records hold your name and what you paid, not your passport or your family's finances.

If you ask us to delete your account sooner, we do, apart from those payment records. It ends your application, so we will call you before acting on it.

What you can do about it

All of these are in your portal, under Your record. None of them affects how we treat your application, and you never have to explain why.

Keeping it safe

Encrypted in transit and at rest, access logged, and reviewed by role rather than left open. Documents are checked by a person, and that person is named in your file so you can see who handled what.

We will never ask you for money over the phone, never ask you to pay an individual, and never ask for your password. If someone claiming to be from Enrola does any of those things, it is not us. Tell your adviser.

Students under eighteen

Many of our students are sixteen or seventeen. Where you are under eighteen we ask a parent or guardian to be on the first call and to consent alongside you, and we keep their contact details for that reason. Everything above applies to them too.

Asking us about this

Write to [email protected] or tell your adviser. A person answers, usually within two working days. If you are not satisfied with what we say, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission in Singapore, and we will give you their details rather than make you look.

Read the terms of service as well; the two are written to be read together.
